The Customer Service Standard under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requires all businesses and organizations to offer customer service to people with disabilities. Accessibility Ontario has developed a customizable brochure on the Accessible Customer Service Standard that you can download and supply to volunteers, agents, contractors, staff, or board members at your organization to ensure they all know how to comply and provide accessible customer service. This Word document can be customized to reflect your organization.
This handout offers a basic understanding of this component of the Customer Service Standard and can be used in combination with other training. It is up to each organization to determine the degree and depth of training that each of its staff, volunteers, and board members need.
